Calcium Definition

Calcium is a mineral found in the body, it essential to the creation and strength of teeth and bones.
Calcium is very important to the muscles contraction, nerves function, blood clotting, heart rate, and more.
 

Sources of Calcium

The calcium is mainly found in dairy products (milk, source cream, yogurt, and cheese), green vegetables (broccoli, spinach), nuts, soy products, orange juice, sardines, salmon, almonds, and many more.
 

Lack of Calcium

When there is lack of calcium the body is taking the calcium he needs, for proper development, from the bones. There are no actual symptoms since the body takes the calcium from the bones but in time people, especially women, can develop osteoporosis, which means the bones lack of calcium and therefore might brake easily. The osteoporosis can also cause backaches, weakness in the muscles, pain, and more.
 

Excess of Calcium

Consuming too much calcium can cause constipation, nausea, kidney stones, and more.
