Curing Arteriosclerosis with Vitamins

Vitamin A for Arteriosclerosis

Vitamin A is also referred to as beta-carotene.
Beta-carotene is the nutrient found in plants rich in Vitamin A. Beta-carotene is essential in preventing and controlling arteriosclerosis because of its natural antioxidant properties. And as an antioxidant, it inhibits the transformation of LDL, which block the arteries that may lead to heart diseases.
LDL is more commonly known as the bad cholesterol.

Treat Arteriosclerosis with Vitamin C

Aside from strengthening the body's defense system, Vitamin C also addresses the cholesterol content of the body.
It takes bad cholesterol in the body and converts them into bile acid. If there's not enough Vitamin C, lesser cholesterol will be transformed.
The unprocessed cholesterols would then build up in the blood vessels and arteries. They would eventually obstruct the blood flowing arteries, causing arteriosclerosis.

Treat Arteriosclerosis with Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is the nutrient essential in blood clotting. And aside from that, it also controls the amino acid called homocysteine, the substance that is believed to cause damage to the artery linings, encouraging heart diseases.

Other vitamins known to address arteriosclerosis also include Vitamin E and the B Vitamins niacin, folic acid, and cobolamin.
If you suffer from arteriosclerosis, it pays to take nutritional supplements that contain one or all of these vitamins.

Arteriosclerosis - What is it

Arteriosclerosis is a health condition characterized by the abnormal thickening of the blood vessels, restricting the flow of blood into the essential body tissues and organs.
The body is composed of millions of blood vessels and arteries. And if a particular part of the body fails to get oxygen from the blood, complications may occur. Should the arteries of the heart are affected, angina and heart attack will occur. Shortage of blood to the brain will cause an ischemic attack, a condition more popular as stroke.
